A journey of healing and the miracle within

We are proud to announce the release of PLANT MEDICINE, a powerful six-part documentary filmed on location at Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, widely recognized as the world’s top-rated ayahuasca retreat. Watch the official trailer.

Realized gorgeously by Good Times Films, viewers can finally witness what real transformation looks like inside one of the most respected plant medicine retreats on Earth.

Now streaming on Gaia, the series offers unprecedented access to the healing journeys that unfold each week through The Rythmia Way.

Behind the Scenes of the Transformative Power of The Rythmia Way Program

Plant Medicine follows the deeply personal journeys of seven participants, including: A Gulf War veteran with disabilities, a rehabilitated bank robber, an actress and writer, and a social media influencer.

Each arrives at Rythmia carrying wounds, and a desire for change.

Over the course of one immersive week, viewers gain rare behind-the-scenes access to ayahuasca ceremonies led by experienced shamans, as well as the comprehensive integration process that supports life-changing transformation. The series captures raw confessionals, emotional breakthroughs, resistance, surrender, and moments of profound awakening.

But what makes this documentary unique is that the cameras don’t turn off after the ceremony.

Months later, the series reconnects with each participant, revealing how their lives have evolved, highlighting the healing sparked by their time at Rythmia.

An Inside Glimpse at The Rythmia Way

With guests having experienced this therapeutic model, Rythmia has developed measurable protocols for psychological transformation. The documentary reveals how this convergence of modalities works in real time, dispelling misconceptions while documenting profound personal growth.

Rythmia founder Gerard Armond Powell shares:

We're honored that Rythmia was chosen for this important project. Every week, we witness incredible transformations, and it's deeply meaningful to share these healing journeys with the world.”

Directed by Stash Slionski, produced by Nick Ruffini and Stash Slionski, and executive produced by Earl Koskie, Jennifer Sodini and Johnny Messner, Plant Medicine is essential viewing for anyone curious about ayahuasca, mental health innovation, or the Rythmia Way.

The series thoughtfully documents the therapeutic process behind plant medicine while elevating the conversation around holistic healing.

Whether you are actively searching for a life advancement center in Costa Rica or simply exploring alternative approaches to healing, Plant Medicine offers clarity, depth, and a rare window into what transformation truly looks like.
